Collective Haul: Burberry, Alexander McQueen, etc.

Send help, guys. I did it again. I wanted to save so badly, so that I could buy the Mulberry Alexa at the end of this year, but I relapsed. That being said, I might as well show you what I got!
Disclaimer: Those things here were not bought in one go. They were purchased over a time span of... 2 weeks.

After losing my other McQueen scarf last year, I was heartbroken. Silk scarves and wind do not go well together! Somehow I lost it on my way to school and I contemplated going back and searching for it, but I had a maths exam that I couldn't be late for, so I kept walking. Worst day of my life.
Well, luckily I have a new one, and this one is made of cotton and cashmere (I think!), so it's a lot heavier than the other one and isn't as easy to lose.

I discovered a thrift shop in Frankfurt called Ephiphany and I'm so thankful that I found it because it's the best! I found this Burberry jacket for merely 80€ or so, and I couldn't be happier. I admit, I had quite the dilemma because I had to choose between a gorgeous Diane von Furstenberg top and that jacket but I'm glad my friend urged me to get the jacket. It's such a classic piece that I'm going to love and cherish forever.

These shoes from Zara were also bought from a thrift shop, though I've forgotten what the name was.
I think they're pretty cool and they match my new scarf.

The products from The Body Shop are my favourites, so getting the body butter is a must for me. I have always used the strawberry one, but this time I wanted to try the mango version for a change and while I was in the shop, I decided to get the lip balm as well.
Then me and my friend went to Yves Rocher and got that grapefruit body wash since it was 20% off. Yay bargain!
Due to my obsession with my hair, I also got those two little bottles of salt spray from Bumble and Bumble and a bottle of conditioner from Syoss.

I've been quite obsessed with flower crowns lately, so I bought this hair band via ebay and it's Glamour Shopping Week soon, which is why I bought the newest issue of the German Glamour.

I found those two palettes from Sleek in the mail today and I couldn't be any more chuffed! They're very pigmented and the colours stayed on my lid the entire day, so I really recommend them to everyone, even though I'm sure the majority already know them.
I got the "Storm" palette and the "Vintage Romance" one.

I hope you like all the things that I got!

Champagne Showers Are Not Cool

Yesterday was the last day of exams for sixth formers and they celebrated after lessons. My friends, who are one year above me, are graduating this year, so obviously they all took part in that "tradition" of getting terribly drunk.
Somehow I was caught up in the middle and received a good champagne shower (gross!), which is why I had to go home and change. (I smelled like a wet dog. Ew.)
After covering the smell of alcohol in my hair with some salt spray and a few makeup touch ups, me and my friends went to the park to continue our celebrations. There were already around 500 drunk students who had significantly less brain cells than they had an hour ago, and I wish I could have taken photos but I didn't want to risk losing my camera.
I feel so terrible for not posting any "real" photos here for weeks, so here's my outfit of that day.

Outfit - H&M
Boots - Tamaris

Have a good day and enjoy the weekend! I'm waiting for my friend Julia to come right now and I'm so excited because I haven't seen her in months!
Bye-bye!

Man Crush Monday

To be honest, I wish I could type all of this in caps lock because I can barely contain my excitement while writing this. Today is Monday and Mondays are the days where women share their man crushes, the so-called "Man Crush Monday".
Since I'm a teenage girl who is very hormonal I have quite a few but I'm going to limit myself to only two guys.
I don't know why but I seem to have a thing for fashionable men, so both of my man crushes are kind of related to the fashion industry. I guess everyone loves a well-dressed guy, don't they?

Harry Styles

Well, you could call me a closet One Direction fan (although I'm not too secretive about that), and I certainly enjoy their music from time to time. I think Harry Styles just has that natural charm that makes every girl's panties drop to the floor. I'm not particularly proud to admit it, but he waved at me once, and I honestly made inhumane noises and nearly fainted from excitement. He's my favourite from One Direction, although his band mates are pretty gorgeous as well.

Jamie Campbell Bower

I've only recently discovered my love for this beautiful guy. Of course, I've seen the movies that he acted in, but it wasn't until I saw the Burberry campaign, when I started to develop my infatuation for him. He doesn't only have amazing cheekbones, but has also a flawless style. It just looks so effortless, but really fashionable at the same time, and it's so frustrating that boys like him are the exception...

I hope I brought you some joy with this post. Feel free to feast your eyes, ladies. Also, I'm incredibly sorry for the lack of photos lately! There will be some next week, I promise!
So, who's your man crush?

Outfit Ideas For Spring

It's amazing how surprisingly warm it is now considering it's only March! I'm so happy to finally be able to wear my beloved Spring/Summer clothes again but more importantly, the sun puts me in such a good mood, and I'm really happy most of the time.
I hope the weather is treating you well, too, no matter where you are in this world.
The only problem is though, the wide range of temperature during the day is super annoying. It's absolutely freezing in the morning but very mild in the afternoon, so I'm always a bit confused about what to wear.
So I went on Polyvore and created a few outfit inspirations for not only me, but also for you.
I hope you like them!

Liebster Award

Hello!
I just found out that I got nominated for the Liebster Award by the lovely Kathleen and since I'm meant to be studying for my exam tomorrow, and I'm too tired and the biggest procrastinator, I decided to do it right now. (I'm SO going to fail history tomorrow)
Thank you, Kathleen! <3

The rules are:
- You must link back to the blogger who nominated you.

- You have to state 11 facts about yourself.

- You have to answer the 11 questions that were given to you.

- You have to nominate 11 others and set 11 questions for them to answer.

- You can't nominate the person who nominated you.

- You have to tell the nominees that they have been nominated by you.

11 facts about myself:
1) People think I'm smart because I tell them that I can speak five different languages (German, English, Vietnamese, Spanish and French) but the truth is, I absolutely suck at Spanish and French. I can't formulate a proper sentence without stopping in-between to think about a word that could fit.

2) I'm one of those people who get easily addicted to things. Don't worry, I'm not into any kind of drugs but I'm very likely to obsess over a band, *cough One Direction *cough*, a TV-series or a person.
Also, I never really stop, I just replace one obsession with another.

3) I'm extremely lazy and the biggest procrastinator ever. This moment right now is the perfect example for it. As I said, I'm supposed to be revising at the moment but I just can't be bothered and I have the concentration span of a goldfish.

4) As much as I like going out and partying with my friends, I still prefer sitting at home on my couch with my laptop or a good book. I'm the happiest when I don't have to move (I'm so sad, ha!) and my potato crisps should always be within reach.

5) Food will always be the love of my life. I love eating and I probably eat too much but it's just too good. Too good. TOO GOOD.

6) I have noticed that I feel extremely attracted to fashionable men. A good fashion-sense is not a trait that I consciously look for, but somehow I always end up swooning over the ones wearing leather jackets and Burberry. (Unfortunately, they usually don't know me or never love me back)
I guess I have a thing for tall, lanky guys with long hair (not Jared-Leto-long though!) and tattoos. Being in a band or liking the same music as me is always a plus.
Wow, I basically just described Jamie Campbell Bower. Oops.

7) I suffer from mild anxiety, and I've been having panic attacks for a few years now. Although I don't see it as a big deal, it's still not my most favourite topic to talk about.

8) This is probably something that everyone does but I tend to overthink a lot. Especially at night, when I'm in bed, I just stare at the ceiling and think about all the poorly-made decisions in my life. That usually results to me being in a bad mood but sometimes, when I remember an embarrassing situation, I literally get a cringe attack.

9) I absolutely love flower names! I want to have a daughter someday and I'm determined to give her a pretty flower name and plant that exact flower in the garden. I'm so cliché.

10) After graduation next year, I want to move to a big city, preferably London, and viva la vida loca there.
When I'm an old pensioner, I would like to live on the countryside, surrounded by nature and see the sun set every night. Again, I'm so f*cking cliché.

11) I'm a bit of a tomboy. I may not play football or basketball, or any kind of sport for that matter, but I really enjoy playing video games. I have an older brother whom I'd spent a lot of time with, when I was younger, and I guess he influenced me in many ways. I'm not as easily to gross out as other girls, and I don't even flinch when someone burps. Wow, my life is SO sad.

Kathleen's questions:
1) What made you want to start a blog?
I don't even know. I'd be lying if I said, I wanted to have a blog for ages. It was a rather impulsive decision but I had never regretted it.

2) Who is your inspiration/role model?
I draw my inspiration from simple things that I come across on a daily basis. That could be a song, a random person, a photograph, etc.!

3) Who is your favourite actor/actress and why?
It's got to be Jamie Campbell Bower.

4) What is your biggest pet peeve?
I've got plenty and I just can't decide which one to choose...
Maybe when people don't lift their feet while walking. It doesn't bother my friends too much but it just seriously stresses me out!

5) What is one of your guilty pleasures?
Shopping. I always spend too much money.

6) What is your favourite Disney movie?
The Lion King. Always.

7) What is your favourite quote?
I think this one is so beautiful: "A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking because her trust is not in the branch, but in her own wings."

8) What movie or song has made you cry?
Err... I tend to cry a lot during sad movies... I was literally sobbing when I watched "Happy Feet", haha.

9) Chocolate or vanilla?
Chocolate, all the way.

10) How many hours a week do you devote to blogging?
It really depends! Something between 2 and 10+ hours.

11) What was your initial reaction to receiving this Liebster nomination?
I was so flattered and happy! Thank you again, Kathleen!

Questions:
1) What's your favourite song at the moment?

2) If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be?

3) What's your middle name?

4) What is one thing that you really like about yourself?

5) If you were stuck with one person in a lift/an elevator for six hours,  who would you like to be in there with?

6) What kind of drunk are you?

7) Do you have any allergies? If so, what are they?

8) Who's your celebrity crush?

9)  What's the best advice you have ever received?

10) Why did you start your blog?

11) Confess something.

Oscars 2014

When I was younger my parents would never let me stay up late to watch the Oscars, so I had never had the chance to follow the award show live. This year, however, I had the following day off which means I stayed up until 6 am to see who won one of those shiny, beautiful, golden men. (Not Leo, ha)
It's common knowledge that every celebrity who attends the award show goes through a long, long beauty routine and puts on their finest gown, in order to look the best that they can.
Being curious who is going to win an Oscar is one thing, but for me I was very keen on seeing the dresses that the ladies were going to wear.
You can see my favourite looks from that night below.

Kate Hudson - Atelier Versace

Sandra Bullock - Alexander McQueen

Lupita Nyong'o - Prada

Jenna Dewan-Tatum - Reem Acra

Jennifer Lawrence- Dior

Cate Blanchett - Armani Privé

Extremely hard to pick my favourite dress out of these but personally, I like Cate Blanchett's one the best. She really looks stunning, like a princess!
Which one do you like?

Bath Time - Lush Bath Bomb (Fail)

This is just a quick update on what I've been up to this weekend. On Friday night I rewarded myself after a week full of stress and school with a hot bath. I found a bath bomb from Lush a couple days earlier in my room and decided to use that one, since I've never tried that popular product. I've seen so many bloggers and youtubers praising the Lush bath bombs, so I was very excited to give it a go.
The problem was, my friends gave that thing to me on my 13th birthday, which means it was quite old. Quite old meaning four and a half years. I'm not entirely sure if you're supposed to use beauty products that have been decaying in the corner of your bedroom for several years, but stupidly enough I just thought "Why not?", and threw it in the water.
It was such an epic fail, haha. That thing floated and didn't "explode" like it should have. It just didn't dissolve. Even when I squeezed it in my hand a little, it stayed completely hard.
I then decided to throw the bath bomb away.
So kids, do not use four-and-a-half-year-old bath bombs.
You are going to be let down.

A huge cup of tea and Belgian chocolate to help me relax.

The book that I'm reading at the moment, named "Billy and Me" by Giovanna Fletcher.

"Sophie May has a secret. One that she's successfully kept for years. It's meant that she's had to give up her dreams of going to university and travelling the world to stay in her little village, living with her mum and working in the local teashop.
But then she meets the gorgeous Billy - an actor with ambitions to make it to the top. And when they fall in love, Sophie is whisked away from the comfort of her life into Billy's glamorous - but ruthless - world.
Their relationship throws Sophie right into the spotlight after years of shying away from attention. Can she handle the constant scrutiny that comes with being with Billy? And most of all, is she ready for her secret heartbreak to be discovered and shared with the nation?"

I love the book. The plot is amazing and the characters are really lovable. Basically, it's like the proper book version of a fanfiction, and sometimes I find myself replacing Billy with Harry Styles in my mind. No shame at all.

Luckily, I found some vanilla shower gel in the cupboard. Otherwise, my well-deserved bath would have gone down the drain.
I love bubbles!

The Body Butter from The Body Shop is to die for! I've just started using this product and I'm already in love with it. I recommend this to everyone, my skin is a lot more moisturised and it just smells heavenly. I kid you not, I wish I could sniff it the whole time.
It may be pricey, but really worth it.

Well, I hope you're not laughing too much at the sad excuse that is my life. I'm going to bed and read The Mortal Instruments now. Has anyone read those series?
And what bath products do you use?
